Al fin parece que Sony va soltando algo de prenda sobre su juego karaoke una vez fijada una fecha definitiva para el lanzamiento de Singstar, crucemos los dedos. El juego saldrá a la venta con 30 nuevas canciones aunque el mismo día de salida ya se podrán descargar otros 44 temas desde la SingStore de Playstation Network. El precio de cada canción suelta será de 1,49 euros y la oferta consistirá al principio de algunos temas de las versiones de PS3 como otros nuevos grupos entre los que suenan Maniac Street Preachers, Zutons y Depeche Mode.
Las canciones se descargaran mientras jugamos en un segundo plano, sin necesidad de cortar la diversión. Además de este buen puñado de temas descargables Sony ha prometido que actualizará regularmente la SingStore. De hecho, se espera que un primer pack de actualización esté disponible el 17 de diciembre, apenas una semana después del lanzamiento del juego.
Además, como ya se anunció en su día Singstar aprovechará las capacidades online de la consola para subir fotografías y vídeos de nuestras actuaciones a My SingStar Online, el rincón de encuentro del juego en Internet. Aunque, obviamente para esto necesitaremos el Playstation Eye o una cámara compatible con Playstation 3. Por supuesto, si queremos nuestra merecida fama podremos decir a nuestros amigos que se pasen a votarnos por la página oficial del juego. Me sé de más de uno que tendrá que ir dejando de jugar en ciertas fiestas, no vaya a ser que la camarita este conectada y tenga una sorpresa al levantarse.

As you can see from the blog, and from the public outcry last year when you left Gamespot, that you have a HUGE following, and could easily make a success out of such a venture. I am a big Gamespot fan, and I remember last year after Greg Kasavin, Bob Calayco and Rich Gallup left, I thought to myself At least Jeff is still there Gamespot is still worth checking out . Now that you (and Alex Navarro) left, Gamespot, and the Hotspot in particular, just aren’t the same. You have personality, charisma, humour. I watch other video reviewers discuss games and most of them are dry and scripted, but you’re always spontaneous and authentic, and the public really notices and is drawn to that. You produce quality work, and your opinion matters.Speaking of which, I’d like to know your opinion about this: I know you’re totally into acheivements, but what’s your overall stance on PC gaming as a platform (notwithstanding the Games for Windows thing). I can appreciate the pick-up-and-play ease of console gaming, but after picking up a GeForce 8800GT I just can’t go back (running P4 3.0GHz dual core, 2GHz RAM). The graphics are incredible on a widescreen LCD and nothing can touch the mouse-and-keyboard control of a PC when it comes to FPS games. Why aren’t you playing COD4 on the PC instead of the 360 is it just because of the achievements? How about Team Fortress 2?
